Our Programs

Tadika Sri Perdana uses the Creative Curriculum for Preschool® incorporating the Malaysian National Preschool Curriculum in all its classrooms. The Creative Curriculum for Preschool® combines both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning.

Tadika Sri Perdana offers a three-hour program for 18 months old toddlers and children under 2.6 years old, and a four-hour program for preschool children from 2½ years old through 6 years old. The school starts at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 12:30 P.M., Monday to Friday. The maximum class size for toddlers and two is 15 children, three years old is 20 and four years to six years old  is between 20 and 25 children per class.  There  are one teacher and one teacher support  for toddlers, three and four years old class and  there are one teacher and one shared teacher support for five and six years old class. The aim is to provide each child with a conducive learning environment.

Our children are exposed to the following curriculum areas:

Language
Language
Language is woven into all parts of the curriculum. Children learn that words are made of sounds and that each sound has a symbol. Through learning the sound and symbol for each letter of the alphabet, children begin to build words. Children learn to hear and understand the different sounds of spoken language through stories, rhymes, and games. Children learn that print carries a message, is written from left to right, capital or lowercase letters and books have front, back, author and illustrator.
MathematicsMathematics
Children develop the number concepts through exploring, manipulating, and organizing concrete materials. Children are said to gain a sense of numbers when they know what “three” really means and it can be represented by a number “3” or a set of three objects. Children develop mathematical thinking through patterns, collecting, counting, sorting, measuring materials, collecting, organizing, recording and reading data, making geometric shapes, addition and subtraction, longer, shorter, heavier, lighter, and etc.
ScienceScience
Children learn science by exploring the world around them. Children try out things to see how they work, they experiment, they manipulate, they are curious, they ask questions and they seek answers to their questions. Children learn about weight, size, color, and temperature, how things move and change, living things, earth and the environment. They learn to enjoy and appreciate their surroundings.
Social StudiesSocial Studies
Children learn about how people live today, how they work, how they get along with others, how they resolve conflicts, how they cooperate, etc. Children learn about civics, mannerism, and socially acceptable behaviors.
LanguageArt & Craft
Children love drawing, painting, cutting, pasting, molding and constructing. Children learn to express their ideas and feelings, connect their ideas with their personal experiences, recognize color and textures, explore color by mixing two or more colors, develop creativity and pride by exploring and using art materials.
Music and MovementMusic and Movement
Music can evoke different feelings and actions in children. Singing and moving to music allow children to hear and appreciate different kinds of music, express themselves through their movement, explore the many ways their bodies can move. Music and movement experiences help develop both sides of the brain and contribute to children’s social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language development.
Practical lifeOutdoors
Outdoor is essential for children’s health and well-being. Children develop their gross motor skills by jumping, running, climbing, playing, and exploring outdoors. They feel the warmth of sun, breath in fresh air, and watch butterflies land on the flowers.  They learn new skills by taking turns, cooperating, sharing, negotiating, and following outdoors rules.
